(136108) Haumea est une planète naine de la ceinture de Kuiper et un plutoïde. Il fut découvert en 2005 par l'équipe de J. L. Ortiz de l'institut d'astrophysique d'Andalousie à l'observatoire de la Sierra Nevada en Espagne et en 2004 par celle de Mike Brown du Caltech aux États-Unis. Le MPC crédite la découverte à l'équipe d'Ortiz, qui fut la première à annoncer l'objet. Sa dénomination provisoire était 2003 EL61. Haumea possède deux satellites naturels, une rotation très rapide (moins de 4 h), une forme ellipsoïdale et un albédo élevé causé par des cristaux de glace d'eau à sa surface, ce qui en fait un membre exceptionnel parmi les cubewanos. On pense qu'il est également le composant principal d'une famille d'objets créés après un impact et qui est responsable de ses caractéristiques inhabituelles. Dans sa plus longue dimension, Haumea mesurerait entre 1 960 et 2 500 km, à peine moins que Pluton et deux fois plus que Cérès, la plus petite planète naine connue. Sa masse atteindrait un tiers de celle de Pluton.

The European Union is introducing a mandatory, standardized EU label to provide information about consumers’ statutory warranty rights. This will be complemented by a guarantee label where a voluntary manufacturer’s guarantee is offered.

The purpose of this new regulation is to make consumer rights more transparent and to establish consistent information standards across the European Union. Consumers should be able to see at a glance which statutory minimum protections apply, regardless of the country or retailer from which they make a purchase.
