Cascarones, first published in 2018, won three awards.Sylvia Sánchez Garza grew up in Weslaco, Texas, and now lives in Edinburg with her family. She enjoys the Rio Grande Valley's culturally rich and beautiful border community. As a former teacher and current school board member, she values education. Garza holds a BA in English, an MA in Education, an MFA in Creative Writing, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies. Her short story, "Ojo" was published in Living Beyond Borders in 2021. She has also published poetry in various literary magazines and two anthologies. Her poetry book, Awaken, was first published in 2022.

EU Warranty Label

The European Union is introducing a mandatory, standardized EU label to provide information about consumers’ statutory warranty rights. This will be complemented by a guarantee label where a voluntary manufacturer’s guarantee is offered.

The purpose of this new regulation is to make consumer rights more transparent and to establish consistent information standards across the European Union. Consumers should be able to see at a glance which statutory minimum protections apply, regardless of the country or retailer from which they make a purchase.
