L'ipertensione causa vari gradi di disabilità e una riduzione dell'aspettativa di vita. Il contributo dell'occupazione come fattore di rischio per l'ipertensione è stato inteso come associato a "fattori psicologici" o "fattori psicosociali" che generano stress. Le statistiche ufficiali non includono il lavoro informale, sempre più diffuso nelle grandi capitali brasiliane. È stato condotto uno studio di prevalenza tra i venditori ambulanti in due aree della città di Rio de Janeiro: Largo da Carioca e Largo de Machado. L'obiettivo dello studio era descrivere le principali variabili sociali di questi professionisti, misurare la pressione sanguigna di questi lavoratori e confrontare i dati sociali e fisici dei venditori ambulanti nelle due regioni studiate. Sono stati intervistati 142 professionisti. I venditori ambulanti avevano livelli di pressione sanguigna più alti rispetto ai venditori ambulanti, ma questa differenza non era statisticamente significativa. La differenza nei livelli di pressione sanguigna tra le due aree era significativa p=01639. L'odds ratio era di 2,275482094.

The European Union is introducing a mandatory, standardized EU label to provide information about consumers’ statutory warranty rights. This will be complemented by a guarantee label where a voluntary manufacturer’s guarantee is offered.

The purpose of this new regulation is to make consumer rights more transparent and to establish consistent information standards across the European Union. Consumers should be able to see at a glance which statutory minimum protections apply, regardless of the country or retailer from which they make a purchase.
