Lo status economico delle donne caraibiche non può essere separato dalle norme e dai valori sociali prevalenti relativi alla loro responsabilità per la casa e la famiglia. Sin dal periodo della schiavitù africana, le forme familiari caraibiche non si sono conformate all'"ideale" della famiglia nucleare europea. Studi condotti negli anni 2000 hanno dimostrato che quasi la metà dei nuclei familiari sono guidati da donne. In molti casi le opportunità e gli incentivi sono sfavorevoli alle donne per avviare un'attività imprenditoriale, anche quando ne hanno le capacità e le conoscenze. Una delle implicazioni di questo studio è che il fenomeno del bootstrapping finanziario merita maggiore attenzione nelle future ricerche sul finanziamento delle piccole imprese. Questa linea di ricerca è importante sia per gli accademici che per gli operatori del settore, in quanto contribuisce alla comprensione dell'uso del bootstrapping da parte delle donne imprenditrici. I risultati di questo studio promettono che il bootstrapping può essere collegato alla crescita e allo sviluppo di alternative di finanziamento e all'imprenditorialità femminile a Trinidad e Tobago.

Die EU führt ein verpflichtendes, einheitliches EU-Label zur Information über die gesetzliche Gewährleistung ein, ergänzt durch ein Garantielabel, sofern eine freiwillige Herstellergarantie besteht.

Ziel der neuen Regelung ist es, Verbraucherrechte transparenter darzustellen und europaweit einheitliche Informationsstandards zu schaffen. Verbraucher sollen auf einen Blick erkennen können, welche gesetzlichen Mindeststandards gelten, unabhängig davon, in welchem Land oder bei welchem Händler sie einkaufen.

EU Warranty Label

The European Union is introducing a mandatory, standardized EU label to provide information about consumers’ statutory warranty rights. This will be complemented by a guarantee label where a voluntary manufacturer’s guarantee is offered.

The purpose of this new regulation is to make consumer rights more transparent and to establish consistent information standards across the European Union. Consumers should be able to see at a glance which statutory minimum protections apply, regardless of the country or retailer from which they make a purchase.
