"La Case du Commandeur" von Édouard Glissant. Eine Romananalyse
Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Französisch - Literatur, Werke, Note: 1,5, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Romanistik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit sollen zunächst die wichtigsten Themen und Begriffe erläutert werden, die Glissant im Discours antillais (1981) behandelt. Von der dépossession der Antillaner über die aufgezwungene Histoire bis hin zur exploration créatrice und der Möglichkeit, durch literarisches Schaffen das kollektive Bewusstsein zu stärken. Daraufhin soll eine exemplarische Analyse des Romans La case du commandeur (1981) erfolgen. Dabei soll insbesondere untersucht werden, inwieweit die im Discours antillais behandelte Thematik im Roman wieder aufgegriffen und verarbeitet wird. Im Mittelpunkt wird die Frage stehen, wie die Konflikte der antillanischen Gesellschaft im Roman dargestellt werden und mit welchen literarischen Mitteln Glissant versucht, die rhizomatisch vernetzte Spurensuche der Protagonisten zu veranschaulichen.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Französisch - Literatur, Werke, Note: 2,0, Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Romanistik), Veranstaltung: Montesquieu - Lettres persanes, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In seinem Briefroman "Lettres persanes" (1721) lässt Montesquieu zwei Perser, Usbek und Rica, die politischen, kulturellen und sozialen Verhältnisse Frankreichs zu Beginn des 18. Jahrhunderts kritisch beobachten und kommentieren. Die beiden Reisenden müssen ihr Heimatland aufgrund von politischen Umbrüchen verlassen. Über die Türkei und Italien erreichen sie Frankreich, wo sie nicht nur Zuflucht suchen, sondern gleichermaßen die Lebensverhältnisse der Europäer studieren wollen und damit aufklärerisches Interesse zeigen. In den Korrespondenzen, die sie mit Freunden und Verwandten aus dem Orient unterhalten, geht es nicht nur um ihre Beobachtungen, sondern auch um die vermeintlichen Sitten und Gebräuche des Orients, die beispielsweise in den Briefen von Usbeks Haremsdamen erläutert werden. Der Roman gleicht also zunächst den Reiseberichten über ferne Länder, die schon länger in Europa zirkulierten. Allerdings geht es Montesquieu weniger um eine Beschreibung des Orients. Was zunächst wie ein unterhaltsamer Kulturvergleich erscheint, entpuppt sich als scharfe Kritik am Ancien Régime, denn in erster Linie geht es Montesquieu um aufklärerische Themen wie religiöse Toleranz, das Überwinden veralteter Traditionen und die ideale Staatsform, die ein friedliches Miteinander ermöglicht. Montesquieu nutzt dabei die Briefform, um seine gesellschaftskritischen Gedanken hinter dem spöttischen Blick der Perser zu verstecken. Auf satirische Art und Weise kann er so die absurden Strukturen der französischen Gesellschaft, die längst als selbstverständlich gelten, aufdecken und in Frage stellen. In dieser Arbeit sollen die politische Einstellung Montesquieus, seine Kritikpunkte am Ancien Régime und seine Idealvorstellung eines Staates herausgearbeitet werden. Hierfür wird zunächst seine politische Philosophie erläutert und schließlich anhand ausgewählter Textbeispiele aus den Lettres persanes verdeutlicht.
