"... der du machst, dass die Menschen dir singen ..." Liedpredigten
Liedpredigten haben in der Frömmigkeitspraxis der Evangelisch-lutherischen Kirche eine lange Tradition. In diesem Band sind 13 Liedpredigten zu ganz unterschiedlichen Liedern des Evangelischen Gesangbuchs vereinigt. Die Texte sind aus gottesdienstlicher Praxis entstanden und für diese bestimmt. Die unterschiedlichen Epochen der Frömmigkeitsgeschichte spiegeln sich in besonderer Weise in Kirchenliedern wieder. Dies deutlich zu machen ist ein Anliegen dieser Texte.
"All Authority Has Been Given To Me"
For much of Christian history, greater focus has been paid to Jesus' death than to his three years of ministry, and his crucifixion has often been understood primarily as a means to salvation in heaven. But retired pastor Tim Lehman contends that we've drastically missed the point by not looking closely at and learning from Jesus' words and actions before his death. As a result, we lose out on the joy and freedom of living fully as his disciples and experiencing salvation already in this life on earth.In this broad study of Matthew's Gospel, Lehman challenges readers to view Jesus' death in light of his life. He urges us not just to believe in Jesus, but to believe Jesus--to take seriously all that he taught and how he lived. As Lehman leads readers along a carefully laid path, Christians and non-Christians alike will have to rethink long-held assumptions: the place of violence in the Christian life; the givenness of division in our modern world; the meaning of ""atonement,"" ""salvation,"" and ""the kingdom of heaven""; and more. But along the way, we are sure to learn, grow, and, hopefully, come to know more deeply God's unconditional love for all.

This study of the Protevangelium of James explores the interrelationship of authors, readers, texts, and meaning. Its central aim is to better understand how the process of repetition gave rise to the narratives of the early Christian movement, and how that process continued to fuel the creativity and imagination of future generations. Divided into three parts, Vanden Eykel addresses first specific episodes in the life of the Virgin, consisting of Mary's childhood in the Jerusalem temple (PJ 7-9), her spinning thread for the temple veil (PJ 10-12), and Jesus' birth in a cave outside Bethlehem (PJ 17-20). The three episodes present a uniform picture of how the reader's discernment of intertexts can generate new layers of meaning, and that these layers may reveal new aspects of the author's meaning, some of which the author may not have anticipated.

Das Werk gliedert sich in mehrere Hauptkapitel, die den Prozess von der ersten Auseinandersetzung mit dem Predigttext bis zur Reflexion über die gehaltene Predigt im Seminar nachvollziehbar machen.Im ersten Kapitel werden unterschiedliche Zugänge zum Predigtmaterial beschrieben, einschließlich persönlicher, exegetischer und liturgischer Betrachtungen. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird dabei der Analyse des biblischen Textes gewidmet sowie der Frage, wie die Predigt von den Hörenden aufgenommen wird. Darauf aufbauend erfolgt im zweiten Kapitel die Entwicklung des Predigtthemas und -ziels, wobei auch systematisch-theologische Überlegungen einfließen.Kapitel drei widmet sich Fragen der Gestaltung der Predigt, einschließlich der Auswahl von liturgischen Stücken und einer Reflexion des Predigtaufbaus. In Kapitel vier wird die gehaltene Predigt dokumentiert und in den Kontext einer Andacht gestellt. Anschließend beleuchtet Kapitel fünf die politische Dimension der Predigt, während Kapitel sechs die Reaktionen der Seminarteilnehmer auf die Predigt zusammenfasst. Den Abschluss bildet ein Literaturverzeichnis.Insgesamt bietet die Hausarbeit einen umfassenden Einblick in die homiletische Praxis und reflektiert sowohl den theoretischen Hintergrund als auch die praktische Umsetzung einer Predigt.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2002 im Fachbereich Theologie - Praktische Theologie, Note: 1,3, Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Katholisch-Theologische Fakultät), Veranstaltung: Hauptseminar: "Kirchenjahr im Kirchenlied", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Musik hat im Christentum wie im Judentum schon immer eine wichtige Rolle gespielt. Die Heilige Schrift ist reich an Stellen, die dies belegen. Egal, ob sie dem Lob Gottes (vgl. Ps 33; Ps 150; Kol 3,16) oder der Klage (vgl. 2 Chr 35,25; Klgl) dient, sich im Tanz als Ausdruck der Freude niederschlägt (vgl. Ex 25,20) oder im Gottesdienst Verwendung findet (vgl. Eph 1,3-14; Kol 1,12-20) - Glaube und Musik liegen eng beieinander. Luther bezeichnet die Musik als die höchste aller Künste, da sie der Theologie am nächsten stünde. Johann Walter nennt sie sogar die Schwester der Theologie.In der Kirche wurde die Musik von Anfang an als wesentliches und notwendiges Element des Gottesdienstes angesehen. Das Zweite Vatikanische Konzil schließlich widmet ihr in der Konstitution über die heilige Liturgie "Sacrosanctum Concilium" das gesamte sechste Kapitel (SC 112-121). Das Konzil bescheinigt ihr, als der mit dem Wort verbundene gottesdienstliche Gesang ein notwendiger und integrierender Bestandteil der feierlichen Liturgie zu sein.Von dem Schriftsteller Kurt Rose und dem Komponisten Paul Ernst Ruppel stammt das evangelische Osterlied "Einnisten will ich mich" von 1987, in dem es um die endzeitliche Auferstehung der Toten geht. Wie die beiden diese zentrale christliche Botschaft in Text und Musik umsetzen, wird in dieser Arbeit untersucht.

Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Theologie - Praktische Theologie, Note: 2,0, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (AB Kirchenrecht und kirchliche Rechtsgeschichte), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Nach can. 402 § 1 CIC/1983 wird einem Diözesanbischof, dessen Amtsverzicht vom Papst angenommenen worden ist, der Titel eines Emeritus der Diözese verliehen, der er bis zu seinem Angebot auf Amtsverzicht als Diözesanbischof vorgestanden hat. Dieser Bischof wird nun "emeritierter Diözesanbischof der Diözese XY" genannt. So war z.B. der Titel von Altbischof Dr. Hubert Luthe, der von 1992 bis 2002 der Diözese Essen vorgestanden hat, "emeritierter Diözesanbischof von Essen". "Der emeritierte Diözesanbischof wird [somit ein sog.] Titularbischof, erhält aber nicht den Titel einer aufgelassenen Diözese, sondern den Titel eines emeritierten Bischofs der Diözese, auf die er den Amtsverzicht geleistet hat." Sein sog. Titularbistum ist demnach seine ursprüngliche Diözese, welche er bis zu seinem Amtsverzicht geleitet hat. Wird jetzt ein neuer Diözesanbischof für die vakant gewordene Diözese ernannt, so erhält dieser den Titel "Diözesanbischof von XY", also z.B. Diözesanbischof von Essen. Beide Bischöfe, der emeritierte und der neue Diözesanbischof, haben also dieselbe Diözese als ihr Titelbistum. Es sind folglich faktisch zwei Bischöfe auf ein und dieselbe Diözese ernannt. Die Frage, die sich hier aufdrängt lautet: Geht das überhaupt? Dies nicht zuletzt vor dem Hintergrund des Prinzips des sog. Monepiskopats, welches man mit der Kurzformel "eine Diözese - ein Bischof" übersetzen kann. Es geht in meiner Magisterarbeit also um die Frage, ob die Rechtsfolge des can. 402 § 1 CIC - sobald ein neuer Diözesanbischof für die vakant gewordene Diözese ernannt wird und somit sowohl der emeritierte Diözesanbischof als auch der neue Diözesanbischof auf ein und dieselbe Diözese ernannt sind - theologisch überhaupt möglich, bzw. haltbar ist. Eine entscheidende Kernfrage meiner Magisterarbeit ist demnach: Können also mehrere Bischöfe auf ein und dieselbe Diözese ernannt werden, oder ist ein solches Vorgehen theologisch ausgeschlossen?

McKaughan attempts to cut through centuries of intervening theories and explanations, and to come as close as possible to experiencing an encounter with Jesus, at least through the eyes of a disciple like Peter, or his companion John Mark. The Gospel writer treats his subject matter with practical realism: Jesus' invitation to join the kingdom of God, the human need to repent, the human craving to be healed, the way a claim Jesus makes sometimes jars the disciples, or the way they find themselves filled with fear in the midst of one of Jesus' acts of power. Jesus encourages his disciples to follow him long before their knowledge can match their action. They may wonder why Jesus is abrasive with various religious leaders.But the realism that underlies everything else in the book is Jesus' compassion for human suffering, his readiness to heal, his forgiveness of sins, his desire to proclaim the love of God, and the way he puts that love into practice. The person of Jesus, the cluster of values that he embodies, presents a moral depth of character that can free us even today and challenge us to envision the persons we can yet become.
