"Das Wort stirbt und gebiert den Gedanken": Zum inneren Sprechen
Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 1996 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Allgemeines, Note: Leistungsnachweis erbracht, Universität Siegen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Der Begriff des "inneren Sprechens", selten auch "Endophasie" genannt, hat eine lange Tradition. Seit der Antike ist der Begriff, als sprachphilosophisches Konzept, mit der Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Denken und Sprechen verknüpft. (WAHMHOFF, S. 1) Die Frage nach der Funktion des inneren Sprechens war auch, mit Unterbrechungen in den 50er und 60er Jahren diesen Jahrhunders, ein klassisches Thema der Leseforschung. (NEUMANN, S. 4)Zu Beginn der Forschung wurde innere Sprache mit der Reproduktion von Wörtern oft gleichgesetzt. "Denken heißt schweigend zu sich selbst sprechen", hatte man schon im Altertum formuliert. Beginnend mit Plato, haben Philosophen, Linguisten und Psychologen diesen Gedanken weiterentwickelt. (WILD, S. 63)Bis zum Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde die menschliche Sprache in erster Linie von Philologen und Philosophen wissenschaftlich betrachtet. (KLATT, S. 40) Es wurde lange Zeit angenommen, daß die innere Sprache die selbe Struktur wie die äußere Sprache habe. (LURIJA, S. 153)Eine der ersten zusammenhängenden Darstellungen einer Theorie der inneren Sprache gab Samuel Stricker im Jahre 1880. In der Einleitung zu seinem "Studien über die Sprachvorstellungen" beschreibt er eine Selbstbeobachtung:"Ich kann bei der größten Anspannung meiner Aufmerksamkeit in den Sprachorganen keine Spur einer Bewegung entdecken. Und doch kommt es mir vor, als ob ich den Vers, den ich still durchdenke, mitreden würde."Stricker untersucht seine eigenen Gefühle bei bestimmten Lauten. Dabei stellt er fest, daß er die selben Gefühle hat - ob er den Laut nun laut spricht, oder ob er ihn still denkt. Damit beschreibt Stricker eine enge Beziehung zwischen artikulierter Sprache und sprachlichen Vorstellungen. (WAHMHOFF, S.41)
